Calling All Authors

While we’re on the subjects of interviews, read my Q&A with author and writing coach John Simmons about his latest  novel Spanish Crossings. The interview ran in writer’s group 26’s April e-letter.

The novel is split into three chronological parts –  before, during and after the Spanish Civil War. John discusses historical novel writing, character and plot. And how it all began with a few words that arrived magically: “Mother declared herself happy.”
